Check out some fun Easter basket fixins that will be aesthetically pleasing and stimulating for your kids. They are not going to get enough! Check it out below.

Easter is like Christmas all over again, except not as extravagant. You do not need to splurge so much on gifts for everyone in your family or at the office. This time it's just about the kids. (I mean once you become a parent it's ALWAYS about the kids, but that's not the point right now.) Easter baskets are a fun way to get your kids excited about you spending more money on them. Kidding! :) Easter baskets do NOT have to be expensive to be fun. I could do another post specifically on Dollar Tree Easter Basket ideas. I have found some great items there as well. The basket does not need to be huge or overflowing.
You cannot go wrong with your basket. I am sure your kids will be happy with whatever is in there. If you happen to know what they like and want to make it a little extra special, keep reading down below.
Table of Contents
Easter Baskets
You can find these ANYWHERE. Depending on what you want out of the basket, you can find so many different baskets made out of different materials and looks. Amazon, Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Michaels, etc., they all carry easter baskets. If you know you're someone who will misplace them or will donate after months of no use, get a plastic basket. If you want to use the basket for extra storage after Easter, get a wicker, canvas, or rope basket. The basket could also be used as a decorative piece for your home. I have some cute basket ideas down below all ranging from prices at $1-$12.
Candy
If you are a mom who does not want to give their kids candy, that is totally fine (obv do what you want). There are some great alternatives to candy and will still feel like a treat. You can add snack size granola bars, fruit snacks, or veggie chips. You can even make these items from scratch if you're up. for it. Pinterest has some great DIY ideas here.
If you know what your kids like, that makes things so much easier. Get what they like. If you have a picky eater on your hands, maybe try a few different healthy snacks they may like. Trial and error, just don't overwhelm them. Down below I curated some Easter themed treats for your Easter baskets.
Stuffers
Save the best for last. This is my favorite part! Similar to stocking stuffers, you want to find Easter basket stuffers that are small enough to fit in the basket, but also practical. Look for items they can use for the upcoming warmer weather or longer. For example, my daughter's Easter basket above included carrot and egg shaped outdoor chalk, hair ties and hair bows, and bath toys, which she uses year round. You can also use this as an opportunity to get them letter tracing booklets or site word flashcards to incorporate some learning activities too, which would lighten the idea of learning and make it fun. I provided some more Easter basket stuffer ideas below.
Final Thoughts
Easter baskets should be fun! After all, the Easter Bunny kept a watchful eye on the kids all year to make sure they behaved satisfactorily (like Santa). You are the mom, you know what your kids like and dislike for the most part. The items in the basket should be a combination of sensory and sweet/savory. I love activities that keep my daughter busy. Play-doh, activity books, chalk, and even little planters. I do not have a green thumb, but I think that would be a great addition to her basket this year. We can both learn something new. What ideas are you leaning towards for your baskets?
